Rice porridge with poppy seeds and fruit

You will need

900ml non dairy milk, unsweetened
80g ground rice
1/3 cup poppy seeds
1/4 cup golden linseeds/flaxseeds
2 tbsp date syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
5 strawberries
1 banana


Stir ground rice and non dairy milk together in a medium sized non-stick pan and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Reduce the heat to low and gently simmer for 10 minutes. Then add vanilla extract, date syrup and pour the porridge on plates (or bowls).
Place the poppy seeds, linseed and cinnamon into a high speed blender and blend. Or you can use the poppy seeds grinder. Sprinkle the poppy seeds mixture over the rice porridge, add sliced banana, strawberries and raisins. You can add more syrup if you want and serve immediately.
